Me: Wake up and have a look at this.
Nell: Stop waving the newspaper in my face.
Me: I need you to open your eyes.
Nell: It’s Sunday morning. Let me rest.
Me: No, you have to see it now.
Nell: Now is not the right time. I prefer reading The Growl on Sunday with a cup of Earl Grey and a bacon sandwich.
Me: Just look at the front page.
Nell: ‘Moriarty is Back and He’s not Lion Around.’ Very amusing.
Me: I’m not talking about the headline. I’m talking about the photo. It’s Lionel King.
Nell: Yes, I can see that.
Me: Did you know he was playing Moriarty?
Nell: Sunday Songs is Sherlock themed today. We’re going to wear our costumes.
Me: Stop changing the subject.
Nell: The Welsh Corgi Choir are wearing deerstalkers.
Me: Never mind that.
Nell: And the llamas are juggling pipes.
Me: I didn’t know they could juggle.
Nell: They can’t.
Me: Did you know Lionel King was playing Sherlock’s arch enemy?
Nell: We’re having roast chicken with all the trimmings for lunch. Roast beef would have been more Sherlockian but Kev has requested beef for next Sunday.
Me: Fair enough. It is his birthday weekend.
Nell: Herr Hoffmann says we’re still having Yorkshire puddings today so all is not lost.
Me: I can have Yorkshires with anything.
Nell: Not if David gets there first.
Me: True. He’s the same with the roast potatoes and parsnips.
Nell: I prefer a roasted carrot.
Me: Never mind all that. I can’t believe that dreadful lion is going to be in the film with you all.
Nell: It will be fine. Lionel makes a surprisingly good villain.
Me: Of course he does. He is one.
Nell: You’re waving the newspaper in my face again.
Me: Sorry.
