Nell: It chose earrings. A little too flashy for my taste. It’s gone into town with David to have its ears pierced.
Me: I hope Dave doesn’t have his ears done too.
Nell. He better not. He’s already started wearing an eye patch and wants to be known as Calico Dave.
Me: It suits him.
Nell: Now, you drive carefully and make sure you stop for a break.
Me: I will.
Nell: You will see them again in January and until then there is Woof’s App, so no moping.
Me: I just miss them so much.
